What we see in Arizona

Arizona's watch collecting culture skews sportier and more travel-oriented than a lot of markets we operate in — GMT-Masters, Daytonas, Aquanauts, and steel Royal Oaks dominate over dress watches and complications. Part of that is the amount of air travel in the Phoenix and Scottsdale client base, and part of it is a younger average collector age than in, say, Palm Springs or coastal California. We price against actual secondary-market trades for the exact reference and dial variant, not the number on a price tag from five years ago.

Box-and-papers completeness and service history matter more here than people expect, since a documented example clears our appraisal faster and typically prices closer to the top of the LTV range than an undocumented one. If you're not sure what you have, send photos of the caseback and any papers along with the watch — it saves a round of questions at appraisal.
